“President Trump spent tonight lying to the American people about Republicans’ billionaire-first tax agenda because the truth is that the Republican tax plan is so extreme, cruel, and unfair that even Trump’s own supporters overwhelmingly oppose the proposal.
In order to fund their trillions in handouts to the wealthy, Trump and Musk are stealing from vital programs that everyday Americans rely on, including Social Security and Medicaid. Instead of lowering costs as promised, Republicans are raising costs for everyday Americans – and their plan would only make things worse, causing prices to rise on everything from health care and housing to groceries and college tuition.
Trump can deflect and spin all he wants, but the American people aren’t falling for his lies. All across the country, Americans are speaking out against the damage being done by the Trump-Musk administration, proving that there will be hell to pay if Republicans pass a giveaway for their billionaire donors at the expense of working families.”
