Washington, D.C. – As House Republicans advance their Billionaire Tax Scam to a floor vote this week, Families Over Billionaires is launching a new, six-figure ad buy reminding lawmakers of the devastating harm their plan will cause for millions of working families.
The new ad titled “Look Me In The Eye” features Amy, a hard-working single mother whose son has special needs. Amy and her son would not be able to afford their medications and health care needs if Republicans pass this bill, which makes the largest cuts to Medicaid in history in order to give trillions in tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.
The ad campaign launches today and will run for two weeks. It will run on national cable broadcasts, including on Fox News in the DMV market, from May 21st through May 27th. It will also run on streaming TV like Hulu and Roku, and across major digital platforms including Youtube, X, Meta, and more through June 3rd.

Ad Transcript:
“Look me in the eye and tell me that a billionaire’s yacht is more important than my health care.
I’m a single mom. My son has special needs. We rely on Medicaid, and without it our care would cost about $800 dollars per month. I can’t afford that.
Republicans want to take away our health care so billionaires can get another tax break.
Say it to my face: Their wealth is more important than my health.”
