Polling Round Up >> Republicans’ Billionaire Tax Scam is Extremely Unpopular

Washington, DC – In just the past week, poll after poll has shown that the more the public learns about Republicans’ Billionaire Tax Scam, the less they like it. While it’s unsurprising that the American people oppose increasing costs on working families and kicking millions off their health insurance to fund handouts for billionaires, these polls are a clear reminder of the consequences Republicans will face if they continue advancing this unpopular, extreme legislation.

Notably, since these polls were released, Elon Musk blasted the bill as a “disgusting abomination” to his 220 million followers and prompted an avalanche of media coverage that will ensure even more people learn about Republicans’ Billionaire Tax Scam.

Here’s just a few examples of polls showing just how unpopular this bill is when people know what’s in it:

Hart Research Early June Poll:

  • Before hearing any messaging, the Republican budget bill starts with only 38% support.
  • As voters hear more about the bill, opposition jumps by 15%, from 46% to 61% – including 65% opposition from swing voters.

  • Half of Americans in battleground states outright assume Republicans’ budget plan will “include things that would be bad for people like me and my family”
