“Today, Senate Republicans made their priorities painfully clear: tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy while raising costs and gutting health care for everyone else. Kicking 17 million people off their health insurance to give Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos another tax break is massively unpopular, which is why Senate Republicans resorted to lies and rushed, dead-of-night votes to try hiding the truth about what’s in this Billionaire Tax Scam. But, this fight isn’t over and the American people aren’t falling for their lies.
As the bill goes back to the House, we have one last chance to stop this cruel betrayal from becoming law. Now, more than ever, is the time to speak out, and we will continue working to elevate the voices of the bipartisan majority of Americans who oppose this bill. If Trump and his lackeys in Congress pass it over the objections of the public, including their own voters, then the American people will hold them accountable.”
