Washington, D.C. – Congressional Republicans just gutted health care for 17 million people, and now they’re scrambling to dodge the political consequences and “re-brand” their massively unpopular tax scam. Don’t be fooled, Republicans have already signed into law the largest cuts to health care in history – to deliver tax breaks to billionaires – and now they’re pretending to care in order to save themselves from the consequences of their toxically unpopular agenda.
Don’t just take it from us: Top GOP pollster Fabrizio Ward released a new memo today showing Republicans underwater on the generic ballot, and called for urgent action on ACA tax credits to mitigate the blame Republicans will face for health care costs rising and people losing coverage. But it’s too late for them to run away from the damage they’ve caused. They proudly passed the largest cuts to health care in our nation’s history, and the American people will hold them accountable for it.
